THE Y FOR
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
We focus our work in three key areas, because nurturing the potential of kids, helping people live healthier, and supporting our neighbors are fundamental to strengthening communities.

Ten Steps to Behavioral Intervention
The following sequence of steps describes how a behavioral intervention proceeds.- HealthLine receives a request for behavioral intervention.
- A behavioral health specialist contacts the parent via telephone to complete a behavioral questionnaire.
- The child is placed on a waiting list as appropriate.
- The behavioral health specialist contacts the family to schedule an in-person intake.
- A child care site observation is conducted (two to three visits).
- Other assessments, including developmental evaluations, are conducted.
- The parent(s) and provider(s) are included in a plan-of-action team meeting.
- A 60-day plan-of-action is created.
- A followup meeting is organized to implement the plan-of-action.
- The behavioral health specialist provides 30-day and 60-day reviews of the plan with the parent(s).
