Ten Steps to Behavioral Intervention

The following sequence of steps describes how a behavioral intervention proceeds.

  1. HealthLine receives a request for behavioral intervention.
  2. A behavioral health specialist contacts the parent via telephone to complete a behavioral questionnaire.
  3. The child is placed on a waiting list as appropriate.
  4. The behavioral health specialist contacts the family to schedule an in-person intake.
  5. A child care site observation is conducted (two to three visits).
  6. Other assessments, including developmental evaluations, are conducted.
  7. The parent(s) and provider(s) are included in a plan-of-action team meeting.
  8. A 60-day plan-of-action is created.
  9. A followup meeting is organized to implement the plan-of-action.
  10. The behavioral health specialist provides 30-day and 60-day reviews of the plan with the parent(s).
