Ten Steps to Behavioral Intervention
The following sequence of steps describes how a behavioral intervention proceeds.- HealthLine receives a request for behavioral intervention.
- A behavioral health specialist contacts the parent via telephone to complete a behavioral questionnaire.
- The child is placed on a waiting list as appropriate.
- The behavioral health specialist contacts the family to schedule an in-person intake.
- A child care site observation is conducted (two to three visits).
- Other assessments, including developmental evaluations, are conducted.
- The parent(s) and provider(s) are included in a plan-of-action team meeting.
- A 60-day plan-of-action is created.
- A followup meeting is organized to implement the plan-of-action.
- The behavioral health specialist provides 30-day and 60-day reviews of the plan with the parent(s).
