Enhanced Referrals
Are you looking for a quality child care program for a child with special needs? YMCA Childcare Resource Service offers a free enhanced referral service for families by helping them find appropriate care that meets the specific needs of the child and family.
*Note* Marine families can receive fee assistance through the San Diego CCYN QIP program.
This service includes:
- A specialized search of our referral database for licensed family child care homes and centers that have training or education in working with children who have disabilities and special needs.
- First contact with potential providers to ensure they have an opening and can meet your special care needs.
- Support to help you create an early partnership with your child care provider.
- Assistance to parents and providers seeking resources on disabilities and other special needs, training, parent support, inclusive child care, ADA regulations, and referrals to community programs and resources throughout San Diego County.
