Military EFMP Respite Care
EFMP Respite Care helps military families, who have children with special needs, by providing parents up to 40 hours per month to attend appointments and to rest while their children are being cared for.
- Be an active duty Navy or Marine Corps family.
- Have a child(ren) identified with special needs or be the EFM Parent identified with special needs.
- Be enrolled in the EFMP on your base.

Navy or Marine families that are enrolled in the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) at the following bases may receive respite service:
- MCB Camp Pendleton
- MCAS Miramar
- MCRS San Diego
- Fleet Training Center San Diego
- San Diego Naval Station
- Navy Base Point Loma
