THE Y FOR
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
We focus our work in three key areas, because nurturing the potential of kids, helping people live healthier, and supporting our neighbors are fundamental to strengthening communities.
Mister Rogers'
What Do You Do with the Mad That You Feel?
This workshop helps participants learn how to teach their children self-control and anger management.
The specific goals of the training workshop are to help participants do the following:
- know that controlling angry feelings is a skill children learn from the people who care for them
- understand that in order for children to find healthy outlets for anger, they must first develop self control
- learn about activities that can support the development of self control
- find helpful ways to intervene when anger or frustration overwhelm children
- (2 to 3 hours)
