What is Respite Care?
Our program gives families short-term relief from the continual care of their child with developmental disabilities. Families can use their respite in a variety of ways, including having time to:
- Engage in leisure activities
- Spend one-on-one with spouse or other family members
- Run errands
- Keep appointments
- Relax
We offer both In-Home and Out-of-Home respite options.
Families should plan how they will use the respite time. Some families like a weekly break. Others prefer longer breaks once or twice a month. Schedule respite in advance on your calendar. Respite can bring peace of mind to a family.
